Scheduling


In the midsts of scheduling time in the Cave, but first i need another rehearsal. the female character is done, but im having some rendering problems with her geometry, it wont render. im no noob, so i think its an issue embedded in her geometry data.
i tried putting her in modo and importing exporting all kinds of formats from different packages, nothing worked. my fail-safe will be now to put her in Zbrush2 and export her mesh from their into maya and see if the rendering works then. i have Z3, but ill need a new laptop to run it on. my G4 is a piece of shit with no intel. either way, hopefully exporting her out of Z2 works. if not, im going to hate my life.

Hi Marc,

Sometimes rendering errors are caused by "illegal" geometry -- planes that are are not 2-dimensional, twisted mesh etc. If you've modeled in quads, one thing you can try is converting to triangles. Also, running any "clean-up" or optimize features in Maya might help.
